Product Detail

The Exo Terra Jungle Earth is a completely natural and biodegradable substrate for reptiles. It's crafted from sustainably sourced wood bark. This substrate is not only decorative but also perfect for setting up natural terrariums for humidity - loving reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates from tropical and forest areas. Its moisture - regulating ability works naturally. It absorbs moisture and then releases it slowly, keeping the terrarium's humidity just right. The finely shredded pine bark pieces encourage reptiles to dig and burrow, just like they do in the wild. They can even build solid nesting burrows similar to their natural shelters. Also, it's heat - treated to cut down on bacterial contamination. It has great odor - absorbing properties too. It comes in sizes of 4qt, 8qt, and 24qt.

Using the Exo Terra Jungle Earth is easy. First, choose the right size for your terrarium. Spread a layer of the substrate evenly on the bottom of the terrarium. You can add some decorations on top to create a more natural look. Remember, this substrate is great for humidity - loving creatures, so make sure to keep the terrarium at the right humidity level. You can mist the substrate regularly to maintain moisture. As for maintenance, check the substrate often for any signs of mold or bacteria. If you notice any, remove the affected part. Replace the substrate completely every few months to keep your terrarium clean and healthy for your pets.
